Getting married and staying married.

One of the things that the Lord demands, is that you get married if you can't stay celibate. 1 Corinthians 7:2 "Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband." So yes, I have my own husband to please God. In pleasing God, I am at peace with him, but a husband or spouse can drive you batty.

Still, I have got to live the word. I have got to lay hold of my salvation and do everything that is pleasing to God, so that I reap the reward of eternal life. Everything is based on the work and rewards system and I understand this. What I don't understand is why a spouse doesn't do everything godly to please their spouse. 'Just saying.' However, that's another subject.

Have a good day and prayer for me......

It gets easier.

Being born in sin makes the practice of holiness quite challenging. However, the closer I get to Jesus, the EASIER it becomes.

Now we were all born in sin. Sin permeates ever fiber of our being, and only the blood of Jesus can remove the stains and the propensity for sin. Only the blood of Jesus and nothing else.  1 John 1:7 says,

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

The blood of Jesus is the greatest stain remover or detergent ever. The blood of Jesus removes all the sin that I committed prior and even after my salvation. Once sin is removed from the soul, I no longer feel right when my soul sins. I feel dirty and uncomfortable whenever I yield to sin.  Therefore, my desire is to avoid sin at all costs, so that my soul remains at peace with God. It's a work in progress.

I'm so thankful that sin no longer rules me. I am glad that sin  is not what I practice but what I avoid. I am blessed because the blood of Jesus cleanses me from all sin. I am happy because living for Jesus gets easier every day.
